After graduating from Cornell in 1989 with a BS in Business Management & Marketing, I moved to Virginia. For the first time, I realized that the sun actually does shine on a regular basis in other parts of the country :-)
I spent three years in retail management before moving back to Syracuse in 1992 to start my career with General Foods. While in Syracuse I did a variety of positions in sales and category management. When the General Foods and Kraft sales organizations merged in 1996, I relocated to Boston. I continued with Kraft in several Account Management, Sales Information and Region Category Planning positions. I also took the opportunity to earn my MBA in marketing.
I spent four years in Boston before relocating again, this time to Dallas in 2000. In Dallas I was responsible for managing the sales information team for one of Kraft's first centralized, national sales regions. I enjoyed this new challenge, and fell in love (again) with the weather. I am definitely a southerner at heart!
In Fall 2003, I was made project manager for the development of a new Kraft trade system, integrating 16 current applications into one. So far, this is proving to be another exciting challenge, and will keep me busy for the next few years, I'm sure. The only downside has been that it took me back north when I had to relocate to the Chicago area. How quickly you forget how cold winter can be, and I'm still waiting for the sun to shine!
All in all, my life's been pretty nomadic since leaving high school, but I've enjoyed it. My family is all still in NY, so I'm back there quite often. I look forward to catching up with everyone at the reunion.
